It’s tempting to uplift the Bible as though every story is one with a high moral ground… But, if we take it for what it is, a record book of God intertwining with fallen humanity, we see the faults and wrongs, and yet God is still near.
The story of Joseph starts with him being spoilt and proud – no wonder his brothers didn’t like him! Yet, even though Joseph wasn’t the ideal candidate at that time for his future position to save God’s people, God saw the future and what he could become.
Let’s take time this week to consider how God’s wisdom is much greater than our own. We might think something makes sense, but if we let God rule in our lives, we end up seeing what He’s been seeing all along.
