When Jesus healed the 10 lepers, He sent them to the Pharisees to show that they had been healed.
Jesus never asked that they say thank you to Him, yet one man, turned back to say thank you.
Parents are often reminding their children to remember their manners and say thank you. We should remember that there is a difference between using our manners and having a heart full of thanks. One is being polite and the other is expressing genuine gratitude.
We can use this story and craft to talk about what our children are thankful for. If they can’t think of anything, ask them, what makes them the happiest. These are the things they can easily express a thankful heart for.
